Apple tops global brands ranking for 2016

Reports by consultancy interbrand have seen apple on top of the annual global brands ranking for 2016.
The United States tech giant apple was named world most valuable company with a value of over $178 billion. Google is the second runners up with a value of over $133 billion, other companies making the top 10 in the world are Coca-Cola 3rd position, followed by Microsoft, Toyota, IBM, Samsung, Amazon,Mercedes and general electronics.

Same-sex marriage legalized in Germany

There has been lots of celebration in Germany as the country's lawmakers legalized Same-sex marriage. Homosexual and lesbianian couples will now be able to get married legally and therewith adopt children, this act has made Germany to be in line with several European countries that have done same. The German Parliament passed this bill into law but Merkel was against the bill.

Terrorist attacks London mosque

In London a 48 years old man has been arrested and kept in custody by the London police as a potential suspect to the attack in mosque that has killed at least one person. The victim of the attack was killed when a vehicle drove cross a pedestrian near a Muslim worship center North London. The London mayor has announced the deployment of more police officers to cotail the situation.

James Bond is dead at 89

Sir Roger Moore a Hollywood actor popularly called James Bond has been confirmed dead by his family at the age of 89 in a hospital in Switzerland. Bond has featured in many movies but the most popular is that of 007 on a secret mission for his nation.
