A new military drone base from us in Niger

   Drones are aircrafts that are operated without a pilot. The United States have built a new military drone base in Niger. The pilotless military aircraft flying out of a new base in central Niger are expected to focus on giving support to existing counterterrorism operations.    Fifty million dollars was invested in this project by the United States. In regards to this, an agreement was negotiated by pentagon spokeswoman, Michelle baldanza with the government of Niger which has allowed the construction of the military air base.    The United States already had one military air base in Niger which is located at Southwest capital of Niamey.

Botswana is 50

Botswana celebrates its 50th independence day,on September 30th 1966, the country was liberated from its colonial master, great Britain. On like other African countries, Botswana got its independence peacefully, without blood sheed of its citizens or any form of rival,the peace it had then, the country still enjoys till date.

Nigeria will be 56

   Nigeria is going to be 56 years old in less than 24 hours. The country Nigeria is a country of over 180 million people and has diversity of culture and ethnicity. Rich in mineral resources, largest population in Africa,7th in the world. Nigeria citizens are full of hospitality, always with open arms to welcome foreign and local investors.   Putting aside the little economic crisis for now, when ever you think of Africa, you think Nigeria. New Jersey train smash

   A transit train have smashed into a commuter train station in Hoboken, new Jersey. Local authorities say about a hundred persons are injured and no deaths recorded. So far all passengers on board are transported for medical attention.

Gen. Gowon calls for prayers

The drill in October will be the last,he (snubs) do not want want to be creating tensions between the United States and China over the south China Sea.    Philippines president said he wants to strengthen economic ties with China and Russia,especially in areas on development and infrastructure.

Nigeria coming out of recession

   The Nigerian finance minister, kemi adeosun has said on Wednesday to some journalist that Nigeria is already getting out of recession at abeokuta.    The finance minister said that the country is doing more of capital project investment, blocking of wastages and improving the minning and agriculture sector of the economy. She also added that the current administration is committed to strengthening the nations weak economy.

OPEC to cut oversupply

  The organization of petroleum exporting countries (OPEC) have said it will cut crude oil export capacity by November. This move is to put a check on oil price crunch and also to assist in global economic stability.

US and Russia pointing each other over Syria war

   The United States is blaming Moscow for the conflict in Aleppo,Saying that if Russia do not respond properly it might withdraw it's support while Moscow is tell the US to live up to its responsibility. A baby from 3 genetic parents

   United States scientists have helped to make a baby born from three genetic parents. The father, mother and a bit of genetic code from a donor. The baby born of this new scientific method is 5 months old.    The mother of the child has genetic conditions which was collected from the donor. The US scientist say that this new method will help future parents with genetic conditions and that there must be a donor for this to be carried out.

Housewives arrested on attempted murder

The Nigerian police have arrested three housewives in kano state on an attempt to kill a girl. The girl's stepmother with some other housewives threw her into a well but she was rescued on time and given medical attentions.

Typhoon hits Taiwan again

   A super typhoon has hit Taiwan Island again. This is the third time the country is experiencing such natural disaster this month.    Over 32 people have been reportedly injured, dozens rendered homeless and some buildings partly damaged. The parking winds of over 160kph roaring from Pacific Ocean to the eastern part of the country.

Zuckerberg is to donate $3 billion for disease eradication

   Facebook founder mark and priscillia Zuckerberg are donating $3 billion for biohub research center. This donation is aimed at eradicating all diseases by the end of the century through basic research.    The donations will be on projects to create a cell atlas, a cell atlas is a map of cells controlling the body's major organs, and the infectious diseases initiative to develop new tools, test, vaccines and strategies for fighting diseases such as HIV, EVOLA and ZIKA.    The hope of this research is for scientific breakthrough similar to those created by the invention of microscope and DNA sequencing in the past.

Wanda builds second park in rival against Disney

   Dalian wanda a Chinese firm is opening it's second theme park in China to step competition with Walt Disney, a US firm.     The Chinese firm has received its first visitors to it's new $5.1 billion park in hefei with hotels and shopping malls included. Wanda plans to build 20 of such parks across the country by 2020. 

Population of Africa's elephants drops due to poaching

  African elephants population have dropped drastically to less 420,000. Poaching is an illegal activity that has eaten deep into some countries in African. The illegal killing of these animals, helps the hunter to export the Ivory collected to Asia for money. Some species of the poached wildlife has been whipped away and leaving the remaining species endangered.    US and China have made a good effort by destroying some thousands of Ivory collected,thereby trying to discourage poaches,yet the activity is still on the rise.    A summit has been held in Johannesburg by the convention on international trade in endangered species (CITES), to discuss solutions to combating world's most endangered species.

World's largest radio telescope begin operation

   China has start the world's largest radio telescope and it has began using the object to search for aliens and outer space communication.

  A New video has been released showing that the leader of the Islamic sect in northern Nigeria is alive and health. The leader of the boko Haram said that he was never shot or wounded by any Nigerian military and as the world can see he's alive through his newly released video.

World's largest telescope near completion

   The world's largest telescope is near completion. The object is designed to help in astronomical research and to get direct communication from stars, Galaxies and possibly a better understanding of alien language and technology.    The telescope is located at a karest valley in south west China guizhon provience. The telescope is designed and built by China and it took five years to complete.

Camera sunglasses lunched by Snapchat

   An app massaging firm, Snapchat has launched its first sunglasses with a built-in-camera. The camera will record up to 30 seconds video.    The device will sell for $130 later this year and has a built-in battery in handles. The glass handles are strongly built to carry the batteries.

Tragedy of migrants in Egyptian coastal areas

   Some migrants who were sailing to Europe meet a tragic experience. A boat carrying about 600 passengers capsized along the Egyptian coastal region.    The state news agency have reported that 149 bodies have been pulled out from the sea and they are still searching for any signs of dead bodies.    The boat was carrying migrants from Syria, Egypt, Sudan and some north african countries. The incident happened at the coast as a result of over capacity.

YAHOO : over 400 million users account hacked

   Personal information for half a billion yahoo users account has been stolen. The company suspects a state-sponsored actor is responsible and urged users to change their passwords.    Online instructions and theft by state-sponsored actor have become increasingly common across the technology industry. India to buy 36 rafale jet fighters from France

   Indian capital have signed a deal with France, to buy 36 rafale fighter jets. This agreement came as a result of increased tensions between Pakistan and India, including the attack on an Indian air base.    India's military capacity will be significantly improved by the purchase of these jet fighter planes. The deal was signed in New  Delhi between the French defense minister Jean-yves le drian and his counterpart manohar parrika.    The cost of these rafale fighter jets is estimated around $8.7 billion and the first batch of the planes will arrive soon.

Navy ship leaves China for lagos

   The construction of the Nigerian second Navy ship has been completed. And is set to depart China for lagos Nigeria.    The crew that is expected to handle security issues within the Nigerian coastal area, have gone for special and enhanced  training. This training is to further improve the country's system.

UN and plans to fight rising antibiotic resistance

   Drugmakers from around the globe have declared to clean up factories making antibiotics and ensure that steps to curb overuse to fighting the increase in drug resistance superbugs are taken.    A declaration seeking to fight antibiotics resistance superbugs is expected to be signed by 193 world leaders at the United nations General Assembly on Wednesday. The draft for the agreement included government committing to bolster controls over the drug market, step up awareness programs and encourage research in alternative treatments.

Lufthansa and air China sign partnership deal.

   The biggest German air carrier and the Chinese air carrier have joined operation. This partnership between the two companies is to enhance flights operation in Europe and Asia. The German airline carrier, lufthansa, calls air China an idea partner for the Asian operation expansion.    The chief executive officer of lufthansa, Mr carsten spohr, during the signing ceremony at Beijing capital international airport on tuesday said that  the intention of the two airline's partnership is to profit from asian air traffic growth which is the most important growth market worldwide.    As air China is the third biggest flag carrier in Asian countries, mr cai jianjiang, the chairman of air China said that the agreement was another major left of air China's globalization strategy. Catholic priests murdered in Mexico

   Two missing Catholic priests have been found murdered in Mexico. The two Mexican priest were abducted from their church in veracruz the oil rich state of mexico. Veracruz has been a state for events of bloody turf happenings between drug gangs.    On Monday the two Mexican priest were found murdered just hours after they were kidnapped from a low-income neighborhood where they served in the gulf cost state of veracruz. The priest were found with bullets wounds.    A church assistant that should have been the third person to be murdered, managed to escape from the kidnappers. The church assistant has been found and he is now under police protection. The two priest that were murdered are alejo nabor ji menez juarez and Jose Alfredo juarez de la Cruz. The church Council and bishops have expressed their pain and sorrow over the death of two priests.   Source :dw

Fertilizer plant slightly leaks radioactive water through sinkhole into Florida aquifer

   A large sinkhole has been opened up at a fertilizer facility of Florida in United States of America, discharging millions of liters of contaminated waste into a major aquifer. The company says no risk has been detected.     About 814 million liters of a little radioactive water leaked from the site in mulberry of Central Florida after the sinkhole appeared beneath a retention pond. Enough water to fill more than 300 Olympic swimming pools escaped from the site to the state's main underground sources of drinking water, which spreads over from Florida to Georgia.

IMF :Years of economic gain whipped out by wars from middle east.

   The international monetary fund (IMF) have recently said that years of conflict have destroyed the economies of several countries in the middle east and North Africa. This could take years for the countries involved to regain there balance.    The US based IMF leader, said that conflicts had sparked recessions, driven up inflation,including hardship leading to death and rendering many institutions powerless from Libya to Yemen.    Syria's GDP in 2015 account for less than half of what it did in 2010,because of the ongoing war, while Yemen have lost up to 35 percent of its GDP in this year (2016).inflation in Iraq and Afghanistan have reached more than 30 percent in the mid 2000's while that of yemen and libya have also reached a peak of more than 15 percent in 2011.    Neighboring countries like Turkey, Jordan, Tunisia, to mention but a few have seen the economic consequences of this conflict in there territory from various places around the middle east and North
